Hey, it’s Nymphya here! I hope you will really enjoy listening to the music as much as I enjoyed creating it.
I thought it would be cool to let you know a little bit more about me since I’m pretty sure if you’re into Art Pop/Experimental/Bohemian type music, we probably have more than just a few things in common.
Ever since I was a teenager, I’ve been drawn to mysticism, magic, and anything that creates an atmosphere. When you combine themes like that with great pop music melodies and rhythms, there was no stopping my devotion. So when I came across Kate Bush and Peter Gabriel and Dead Can Dance, along with others, I was so taken by their sounds and atmosphere, that they would completely take me to another world when I closed my eyes and listened.
More than anything in the world, I wanted to be a recording artist who wrote and recorded music like this so that I could do for you what these artists did for me.
That dream has finally come true!
When I started finally writing this music, I couldn’t decide on what I wanted it to be…. straight ahead, magical pop or experimental avant-garde?
Then it dawned on me that I could put the two together!
And that’s where this dream began…
Just a few years ago,
after my fiance died,
after I picked up the pieces of my shattered life,
and built my recording studio…
I recorded my first solo CD of all original music.
It took me 3 years to create it and lay in all of the parts, but now it is here.
Dream Dance refers to that dance we call Life, which is nothing other than what we each Dream.
Dream Dance is a concept album, with soundscapes and music that pull you on an embryonic journey.
So that you can close your eyes, and get taken to another realm….
If you’re like me, you probably also have a lot going on in life, and wish for times when you just need to escape into your own realm, and feel connected for a while; let yourself drift off into never never land.
So, if you feel like checking out what I put so much work into, click here to listen to my debut album, Dream Dance.
And let me end with this: You being here makes all of my struggle and hard work worthwhile.
